Abdulhakeem Adams
Product-driven frontend engineer, about seven years in. I've architected reusable frontend systems behind complex but approachable web apps across fintech, data SaaS, and AI. I lead web development at scale at Foren (f.k.a Leatherback Finance), and shipped inside a fast-moving product team at Atlan. I like working with cross-functional teams and talking to customers directly, and I care most about turning a complicated system into something that feels obvious to use.
Experience
Pioneered and led the client-facing, API-as-a-Service, and back-office internet banking apps from a greenfield start, so businesses can move money across borders. I lead developer efficiency and AI adoption on the engineering team, drove the migration to the Next.js app directory with server components and TypeScript, and set the SDLC workflows the team works to.
Owned the Readme templating, Glossary, and App Analytics modules used by 100+ data teams, and extended them with high-impact features soon after joining. Built internal editors for markdown and SQL, and shipped customer-facing real-time data visualisations with D3.js, x6, and g2plot.
Built flight and hotel search, booking, and reservations, plus trip budgeting, tracking, and reporting. Also wrote the reusable project templates and docs that clients used to integrate the booking API.
Frontend work across agency and early-stage teams (EiSoft, Madison Olste), shipping to 16+ business clients with VueJS, ReactJS, and Node, and setting up CI/CD along the way.
Building
What I do
Frontend Architecture
Reusable systems that hold up as a product grows. Greenfield builds, and the migrations that keep an older codebase from calcifying.
Product Engineering
Working with product and customers directly, not from a ticket. Translating complex systems into something a person can actually use.
AI-Native Workflows
Agentic tooling in the product and in how the team ships. Leading AI adoption and developer efficiency across an engineering org.
